I’ve broken into the third and final section of White Fire, which needed some additional outlining done. That process derailed me for a bit, but now that I am into it and flowing, things should once again move along. I am still hopeful that by the end of the year I will hit my goal of 52,000 words written. Luckily, I have a decent amount of free time set up for the final week of the year!

Can’t believe it’s almost 2019…

My total word count since beginning this experiment is 27,004, so I’m off by slightly less than 2,000 words.

Much of that lapse is because I ended one novel – Struck – at the beginning of December, and took up another – White Fire. White Fire has been something I’ve been working on sporadically for a while, so step one was to reread and edit everything that had been done before. That meant my daily word count during the reread/edit was quite low. Now I’m into new chapters, so I’m able to make up ground. The last three days I have done 1,600, 1,400, and 1,600 words. Keeping up that kind of pace, I hope to be back over the 1,000-words-a-day threshold soon.

My total at the moment is 13,117, so it’s happening. Best of all, this constant production means that Struck, Lightning Hopkins book 1, should be completed TOMORROW.

I had a couple of sub-1k days, but made up for them with an extra burst this weekend.

Plus, look at the completion percentage of my new novel, Struck, in the upper right of this page – all this active writing pays off!
